Corporate history

1923 Christman trumpf acquire Julius Geiger GmbH, a machine shop in Stuttgart. At that time the company producted flexibile shafts.

1979 the laser becomes important for TRUMPF. The company manufactures its first punch-laser machine, the TRUMATIC 180L

1985 TRUMPF decides to make its own CO2 laser.

1992 TUMPF's activities in the solid-state laser sector begin with the acquisition of the firm Haas Laser GmbH in Schramberg.

2000 TRUMPF has 4.803 employees

Punching, bending, forming, tapping, contour cutting and engraving in one machine – that is complete processing with the TruPunch 3000.

A design or text engraved on a material.
It is process in which the lines are cut in a plate. Engravers use a hardened steel tool or even diamond points to cut the design
into the surface, hand engraving was replaced with CNC engraving.
