Corporate history

1923 Christman trumpf acquire Julius Geiger GmbH, a machine shop in Stuttgart. At that time the company producted flexibile shafts.

1979 the laser becomes important for TRUMPF. The company manufactures its first punch-laser machine, the TRUMATIC 180L

1985 TRUMPF decides to make its own CO2 laser.

1992 TUMPF's activities in the solid-state laser sector begin with the acquisition of the firm Haas Laser GmbH in Schramberg.

2000 TRUMPF has 4.803 employees
