Important dates in our company’s history

1969 - FOBA (Formenbau und Gravieranstalt) is founded with 15 employees.

1991 - Start of laser technology with the development of laser marking and laser engraving equipment.

1992 - Delivery of our first laser system for deep engraving.

1993 - Delivery of our first machine for lacquer removal and day-and-night design.

1996 - Expansion of the marketing of laser systems to include Europe, Asia and the USA.

1998 - Addition of diode-pumped solid state lasers to the FOBA product range.
FOBA has 128 employees.
Annual turnover increases to 33 million Deutschmarks.

2000 - Addition of diode-pumped solid state lasers to the FOBA product range.
FOBA has 128 employees.
Annual turnover increases to 33 million Deutschmarks.

2001 - The company is renamed as “FOBA Technology + Services GmbH”, concentrating fully on the laser system sector.

2003 - The Canadian company of Virtek Vision International Inc., a leading developer of laser precision solutions, acquires a majority holding in FOBA Technology + Services GmbH.

2005 - FOBA develops a new logo for its brand name - “Laser Marking + Engraving“ clearly demonstrates our goals and core competencies.
We deliver our 2000th laser.
